The Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota should be linked to 266,796 of COVID-19 cases reported nationwide between Aug. 2 and Sept. 2, the researchers said, and should be considered a virus superspreader event, or a situation where a smaller number of people spread the disease to a much larger population.
